"""Unexpected Tea Party"" aims to bring a surprise celebration to the Open Show. A ceramic tea cup embedded with a temperature sensor will be placed with the exhibition hospitality food and drinks. When the content of the teacup reaches a certain temperature, confetti will drop from the ceiling. ""Home Away Home"" is built upon a C&C experiment. An accordion zine embedded with a distance sensor on its cover will play an audio piece when the distance between the covers changes. This zine explores the spatial and emotional distance in immigration narratives. The covers are shaped like two houses to symbolize the concept of home, and the pages feature illustrated content that depicts the relationship between homes and individuals in dual-culture environments.
