OPEN Show!
The Digital Futures OPEN Show is an annual exhibition where we show our best and most interesting work that’s happening RIGHT NOW!
The collection of work presented is intended to represent a survey of current ideas, concepts, themes, theories, tools, techniques, and trends being explored by the Digital Futures community at OCADU. Works include physical computing prototypes, data visualizations, digital entertainment, games, wearable technology, interactive installations, and more. For anyone who has asked the question “What IS Digital Futures anyway?” – we’re hoping this annual exhibition will continue to provide some answers.
OPEN Show was created in 2017 by Immony Men and Kate Hartman. The intent was to create the first ever exhibition at OCADU that extended a call to our whole community, not just one class or cohort, featuring works Digital Futures undergraduate and graduate students as well as faculty and alumni. Since then, OPEN Show has continued to grow under the guidance of dedicated student and faculty organizers, reflecting the shifts and changes in the Digital Futures programs and in the world.
