Sarah Boo

Sky Cavalcade is an analog circuit sculpture that is sensitive to its environment and uses lights and sounds to emulate high skies and rain fall. It is an exercise in exploring the expressive and emotional properties of circuits and their innate poetry. The sculpture uses a simple 555 timer circuit as its basis to create light and sound patterns. It is sensitive to ambient light as well as changes in light resulting from movement in the space around it, and will respond using its language of clicks and flashes.
