Spheres

Over the course of the COVID-19 pandemic, the days began to all blur together. I imagine this was a common feeling for many, that every day was identical to the last, and through that I found I couldn't remember anything about them. The spheres began as an expression of the sensation of your own memories degrading to the point where the emotions they encompass don't come close to reflecting the event itself. It's hard to be creative when you have no input to reflect on. Every day being the same as the one before creates a numbness to the world. So every day I would go out, and find a way to make the day different, by taking or generating photos in some way. The focus was to make every day a ""non-zero"" day, where at least something was accomplished, no matter how small. The spheres brought a difference to the days, each it's own abstraction of the day, documenting through distortion. // As I'm writing this and staring at the monitors I used in UNMASK, I would love to present these as animations on 3 of my CRT displays rather than the prints I was going to do. If you're not sold on that, I can happily do the prints instead, but I think the screens would be fun.
