"Tablingo emerges as a pioneering initiative with the ambitious goal of globalizing the learning experience of the Tabla, a cherished instrument in South Asian music. Recognizing the paramount importance of vocalizing Tabla syllables, known as 'bols,' in the learning journey, Tablingo tackles the universal challenge faced by learners: the difficulty of mastering traditional bols due to their intricate accents. Tablingo integrates a machine learning algorithm. This innovation empowers Tabla enthusiasts to train the system with words familiar to them, effectively generating authentic Tabla bols. The heart of Tablingo lies in its dynamic use of OSC (Open Sound Control) messages, orchestrating a symphony of software tools. Leveraging Wekinator, Pure Data, VCV Rack 2, Audacity, Touch Designer, Jack Audio, and Open Stage Control, the project creates a seamless fusion of technology and tradition. Notably, the machine learning model currently resonates with the voice of its creator, paving the way for an intimate and personalized learning experience. Looking ahead, Tablingo envisions a future where the machine learning model becomes universally adaptable. The project aims to streamline the training process, allowing individuals worldwide to effortlessly contribute their unique voices to the system, thereby customizing the Tabla learning journey.
