Variations of... is an online interactive and generative work that uses sounds and visual conceptions of 3D spaces to explore the parallels between dream logic and the generative art process in their ways of accessing 'the marvelous'. The work generates instances of floating 3D spaces that simultaneously evoke memories of archetypal spaces while existing in a state of immateriality and physical impossibility. The viewer is invited to generate new spaces until they discover one that resonates with them, at which point they may wander through and interact with the sounds generated by the different digital 3D forms present. After they leave the space, it ceases to exist and its unique configuration will most likely never occur again.
