This project is to be installed in a pitch black room where the users are encouraged to use their flashlights and point them at the screen, as soon as they do an ensemble of organic cells cluster around that light, responding to its movement. Bio organisms react to the environment around them we refer to these factors that life responds to as external stimuli. One of the most primitive external stimuli is light. sunlight has been shining on this planet throughout its lifetime. And it is one of these primitive reactions to light that has contributed a lot to the complexity we see today. In my project, I used a combination of two different types of automata systems, one is Turing Patterns and another one is an edge detection algorithm used in the Edge Top of TouchDesigner to create these digital systems that form organic patterns and react dynamically. I made them react to light so they can form the shape of the objects emitting the light. You can interact with them. by moving your light around.
