Head Cannon

‘Headcannon’ is a multi-media sculpture installation piece that represents queer and transgender resistance within the video-gaming community and industry. The installation features a suspended sculpture with animations projected onto either end. These animations represent the duality of existing in a mainstream non-queer space as a queer person. Headcannon aims to answer the questions — Why do we need queer-specific spaces in gaming? How are they formed? How do queer people navigate online spaces that are often hostile and violent towards them, and why do they stay?
