ONLINE_OFFLINE III’ is an interdisciplinary performance piece that retraces my Korean-Canadian identity by projection mapping animations onto traditional Korean garments. This work is an opportunity to describe the nuances of being invisible and to transform and reimagine the narrative of transcultural Asians through digital animation, textiles and performance art. I will be fabricating and wearing my own handmade 한복 / hanbok, a traditional Korean costume and performing to a virtual audience. As traditional clothing holds significance to the wearer, each layer acts as a panel to reveal the complexity of my transcultural identity. ONLINE_OFFLINE III acts as a digital love letter to my younger self, my parents, and the diasporic Asian community
