I am exploring the possibilities of substitutions for the plastic bags and cotton tote bags, which leave toxic carbon footprints on the environment in the process of cultivation and creation. The up-cycling materials and kombucha textiles will help the tote bag users rethink the role and the value of materials by growing consumer awareness about the environmental and social impact of the materials. I am aiming to expand consumer awareness for sustainability. By integrating AR, I aim to story-tell the significance of sustainability to users. AR holds the potential to transform the message and the media in several beneficial ways, including new forms of storytelling that better engage users and provide more context, nuance, and texture to this project.
